Situated in the San Polo district, the apartment is in a small and quiet courtyard only a stone's throw from the Grand Canal and the Ponte di Rialto.
The area is very lively both day and night. In the daytime, tourists rub shoulders with locals who have come to do their shopping at the Rialto market or in the many shops in the area. In the evenings, locals gather here to enjoy an aperitif at one of the bars at the foot of the Ponte di Rialto.
The apartment boasts a strategic location near all the tourist attractions.
The apartment
This is a functional, quiet and very bright fourth-floor apartment (43.9 m²). There is no elevator access. The apartment overlooks a typical Venetian courtyard with a well. The decor, exposed ceiling beams, and layout (linked rooms that centre on the entrance) lend charm to the apartment.
The entrance (2.1 m²) connects the small living room with the dining room.
The living room (11.1 m² - southwest facing) has a single window overlooking the well in the courtyard and contains a sofa-bed, a bookcase, an armchair, and a radio. There is also a small storage closet (1.2 m²) where the boiler and drying rack are kept.
The bedroom (15.1 m² - southwest facing) includes two single beds pushed together, two bedside tables, an armoire, and a chair. Two windows overlook the courtyard.
On the other side of the entrance, the dining room (8.4 m² - northwest facing) comprises a table, some chairs, a buffet table, and a window that offers a view of the Venice skyline.
From the dining room, you can access the kitchenette (3.15 m² - southwest facing) that overlooks the courtyard and is equipped with a gas stove, an electric oven, a washing machine, and all the cooking and eating utensils you’ll need.
The bathroom (2.9 m² - southwest facing) is small but is fitted with a shower, a sink, a bidet, and a toilet. The bathroom is off of the dining room/kitchen and has a window overlooking the courtyard.
