Located in the heart of a typical Montmartre neighborhood, the Avenue Junot is in the Montmartre typical for Parisians, far from the flow of tourists at the Place du Tertre. This neighborhood is a maze of small cobble-stoned, tree-lined streets, giving the impression that you’re in a village in the countryside, this impression being enhanced by the numerous houses (rue de l’Abreuvoir, rue des Saules…). Moreover, a few streets away from the apartment you can admire the last vineyard of Montmartre thanks to those who continue to produce wine here, and where there is a big celebration each October during the harvest.
The avenue Junot, where the apartment is located, is considered the “Champs Elysées” of Montmartre because it has some of the most expensive homes in the neighborhood. Many celebrities and artists have taken up residence there.
It is a haven of peace, a quiet avenue far from the Parisian reality, which nevertheless can be found at the end of the avenue with the metro station Lamarck-Caulaincourt. Many restaurants and shops are hidden in Montmartre which makes this area a memorable place to stay.
The apartment
A 1st-floor walk-up, the Junot apartment has a surface area of 66m² and is full of charm and very comfortable. Its windows open onto a courtyard on one side (the bedroom and kitchen) and onto the charming Avenue Junot on the other side. There is low traffic and the street is closed to cars on Sundays.
The entrance to the apartment is a hallway (6.5m²) that serves all of the apartment and had a closet.
The living room (30m² - east-facing) has two windows with a beautiful unobstructed view of Avenue Junot. This lovely bright room is divided into two spaces. The corner living area has a double bed settee, 2 armchairs, a flat screen TV, and a small library. The dining area has a pretty wooden table from the 17th century, surrounded 4 modern chairs.
The kitchen (7m² - facing west), faces the living room, is bright and overlooks a courtyard. It has a gas range, an electric oven, refrigerator-freezer, dishwasher and washing machine as well as complete cookware.
The bedroom (14.50 m² - west facing) is quiet, as its window overlooks the courtyard. It has a double bed, two small night tables and a large wardrobe closet.
The bathroom (7 m² - west facing) is in an extension of the bedroom. It is very bright (its window faces the courtyard) and has a bathtub and sink.
The toilet (1 m²) is independent and is located in the hallway.
Sleeping details
1 double bed (160 x 190 cm)
1 double sofa bed (140 x 180 cm)
