The apartment is situated in the Santa Croce district, only a 5-minute walk from the Grand Canal and the train station. The nearby Campo San Giacomo dall’Orio, far from the tourist traps, is a haven of peace. In the summer you'll find children playing outdoors while their parents take shelter from the sun under the large trees.
This district, off of the beaten path and frequented by locals, is nonetheless only a 15 minute walk from the Rialto district and 10 minutes from Campo Santa Margherita, one of the busiest and most popular squares in all of Venice. The square is also home to lots of student bars.
The apartment
RIO MARIN is a beautiful and spacious 2-bedroom apartment located on the 2nd floor of a renovated building with elevator. It is very bright, modern and cosy thanks to its clear floor parquet, its white wooden furniture with colorful accessorizes. The nice view on Rio Marin canal provides this apartment a peaceful note.
The entry of the apartment (4 m²) leads to all the other rooms.
The very bright living-room (12 m², South facing) features 2 French-windows with a small balcony (where you can fit 2 chairs) facing the canal. It is composed with a large sofa (up to 6 people), a large fat screen TV in its cabinet, and a coffee table. A large opening to the kitchen provides a feeling of space.
The spacious kitchen – dining area (20 m², South facing) has all the cooking and eating utensils you’ll need and is fully equipped with all the modern conveniences (gas stove, oven, refrigerator & freezer). It also features a large worktop, two cabinets, and a large wooden table with 4 chairs. It features 2 windows facing the canal.
The master bedroom (16 m², North facing) has 2 large windows overlooking a courtyard. It is composed with a double bed (2 mattresses that can be separated to have 2 single beds instead), a bedside table, shelves, and a wardrobe.
The second bedroom (10 m², East facing), with also 2 large windows overlooking a courtyard, has 2 single beds and a large closet. The blue bathroom is adjacent to this bedroom.
The 1st bathroom (green) (6m², no window) features a shower, a sink, a bidet, and a washing machine. Toilets are separated.
The 2nd bathroom (blue) (2m², with window) is adjacent to the 2nd bedroom, and features a walk-in shower (no step, without door), a sink, a bidet and toilets.
