The Fondamenta della Sensa (dock) – with Fondamenta de la Misericordia, degli  Ormesini, & dei Mori - is part of a scene of peaceful walks along canals (all parallel), away from tourist ways. You can really enjoy a lunch on a sunny terrace, discover churches away from the center yet amazing, such as Madonna dell'Orto, Sant'Alvise…
These docks are located behind the Ghetto, the historic Jewish district of Venice, where are hidden magnificent synagogues.
Nowadays, this area is a typical working-class neighbourhood, with narrow streets, wells, and bridges, between the massive Campo del Ghetto Nuovo that overflows with outdoor cafés and terraces, and the Cannaregio Canal itself where you can catch a vaporetto.
Strada Nova—the throughway that divides Cannaregio and the Rialto district—is home to the San Leonardo market that is bustling from morning to night.

The apartment

This first-floor apartment (53 m²) is bright and cosy thanks to its exposed beams. It features a small wooden terrace of 6 m².

The entrance (3.80 m²) opens onto a corridor that splits the apartment:
-    on the right: kitchen, bedroom with access to the terrace & bathroom;
-    on the left: dining-room and living-room.

The dining-room (14.30 m², South facing) is composed with a glass table with 4 chairs, a large library and a sofa. It has one large window with a view on Fondamenta della Sensa and the canal.

The living-room (11.20 m², South facing) can be separated from the dining-room by a large sliding door. It has a trundle sofa-bed, an armchair, 2 coffee tables, and a closet. A large window gives on Fondamenta della Sensa and the canal.

The kitchen (11.40 m², 2 windows; West facing) is fully equipped with all the modern conveniences (2 sinks, gas stove, oven, refrigerator, and washing-machine) and has all the cooking and eating utensils you’ll need. It is also equipped with folding table and 4 chairs.

From the kitchen, you access to the bedroom on one side and to the bathroom on the other side.

The bedroom (8.30 m², East facing) is furnished with a double bed, a small chest of drawers and shelves. A French door opens onto the terrace (be careful : there are a few steps to access the terrace).

The bathroom (4m², East facing) is adjacent to the bedroom with a sliding door. It is equipped with a shower, a sink, a bidet and WC. A small window - overlooking a courtyard - provides light to this room.

The wooden terrace (6 m²) is furnished with a small table and 2 folding chairs. It overlooks a courtyard.
