The “Oltrarno” district, typically Florentine, takes its name from its position, as it is located on the left bank of the Arno River. In this neighborhood, the magnificent history of Florence is still alive, not only evidenced through its many historical and artistic heritage sites (the Esplanade Michelangelo and the Boboli Gardens in particular), but also in everyday life, with shops and stores which have preserved the characteristic atmosphere of this part of the city. Here many artisans, goldsmiths and restaurateurs have maintained their traditional methods.
Florence’s Oltrarno neighborhood remains the part of Florence where the Florentine spirit still lives, and where, among the narrow streets, you can experience the Renaissance soul of the city.
Its centrality allows you to move easily and quickly in Florence. A 5-minute walk brings you to the Ponte Vecchio, and within 10 minutes you can walk to the Boboli Gardens, or the Michelangelo Explanade from where you can enjoy a gorgeous view over all of Florence.
The apartment
On the second floor, with a surface area of 38m2, SAN MINIATO is a cozy and comfortable apartment thanks to its characteristic Florentine style.
You enter directly into the living room (24m² - with west and north-east exposures) which is divided into two areas: a dining room and a corner office. It has two windows overlooking a garden (on the dining room side – north facing) and the Via Monte alle Croci across from the Rose Garden (the office side – west facing).
- The dining area has a sofa bed, TV, bookshelf, buffet as well as a dining table and 4 chairs.
- The office side has a desk in one corner as well as a daybed.
- The kitchen, located in the dining room part of the room, is fully equipped with a complete set of kitchen utensils, a microwave oven, stove and refrigerator-freezer.
The bedroom (11m² - east facing) has a window overlooking the street. It’s furnished with a double bed and two bedside tables, a wardrobe and a chest of drawers.
The bathroom (5m² - west facing) has two windows overlooking a garden. It is equipped with a washing machine and a shower, sink, bidet and WC.
