Only a stone's throw from the Grand Canal and the train station, the apartment is situated in the Santa Croce district. The nearby Campo San Giacomo dall’Orio, far from the tourist traps, is a haven of peace. In the summer you'll find children playing outdoors while their parents take shelter from the sun under the large trees.
This district, off of the beaten path and frequented by locals, is nonetheless only a 15 minute walk from the Rialto district and 10 minutes from Campo Santa Margherita, one of the busiest and most popular squares in all of Venice. The square is also home to lots of student bars.
This gorgeous house (130 m²) is spread out over three floors and features exposed ceiling beams, a backyard, and Venetian floors that keep the place cool.
Main floor
The front hall (4 m²) has a table and leads into the first bedroom.
The first bedroom (8 m² - east facing) has a daybed for a spare bed, a bedside table, and an armoire. There are French doors leading to the backyard.
Garden furniture is set up in the backyard (73 m² - southwest facing).
2nd floor
The living room (32 m² - southwest facing) is accessed via a hallway (17 m²) at the top of the stairs. One door leads to the living area and another to the kitchenette.
There are four windows overlooking the backyard and the space is divided into four distinct areas:
- The living area has a sofa, several armchairs, a coffee table, some chairs, a beautiful, non-functioning fireplace, a bookcase, and a TV.
- The dining area has a large table with six chairs and a buffet.
- The kitchenette is fully equipped with all the modern conveniences (electric oven, gas stove, and refrigerator).
The second bedroom (22 m² - northeast facing) is on the other side of the hall. It features two windows that overlook the street, as well as a double bed, a single bed (which doubles as a bench), a buffet, and a cabinet.
The first bathroom (6 m² - southwest facing) is fitted with a bathtub, sink, and toilet. A small balcony overlooking the yard can be accessed via a glass door.
3rd floor
The third bedroom (12 m² - southeast facing) has a double bed, an armchair, and a dresser.
The en-suite bathroom (4 m² - northwest facing) offers a view of the skyline and is fitted with a sink, shower, bidet, and toilet.
